
在新竹工作了一段時間,有時候會想,哪裡有比較特色的餐廳,或者哪裡有比較清淡的餐館,而這些地方又不是在大馬路旁,車水馬龍,也不是在Shopping mall裡面,人來人往。它可能是位在巷弄間,要當地人介紹才知道的小店,又或者位於社區裡,在某個角落裡偷偷藏著媽媽的味道。

走在路上,常常會有意外的驚奇,這次要介紹的店是位在瑞里山上,一間僅存的手工黑糖店,每年僅在十二月到二月甘蔗收成季節製作,遵循傳統做法,原汁原味,而這巧遇就要從甘蔗汁談起。
傍晚時分,天色漸漸暗了,位於高山上的瑞里,晚間並沒有太多娛樂,加上天氣寒冷,我們一家人便決定喝熱甘蔗汁暖身,走進店內一看,才發現這是一間手工黑糖店。

Steve Wallace is a professor, whose major is business, in National Chiao-Tung University. Actually, many students in NCTU like to go to his class and so am I. His teaching style and abundant travelling experience make its class more colorful. You don't feel any pressure in it, because this is the real American style.
Can you imagine that one American has traveled to more than sixty countries and stay in Taiwan now? I just came back from Turkey, so I understood his feeling. If you love the country and the people here, you will feel satisfied no matter what you do and what different environment is . Steve has ever told me that you don't need to fear any unknown future, because everything will be fine if you are optimistic. I forget the reason why he wants to stay in Taiwan. However, I think he may have some strong mind to support his decision.
